Weekend Receptionist – Permanent Part-Time
Start Date: 17 January 2026Hours: 4 hours per week
Saturday: 2 hours
Sunday: 2 hours
YMCA Taranaki is looking for a friendly, mature, and enthusiastic person to join our team as a Weekend Receptionist. You’ll be the first point of contact and the welcoming face of the YMCA, helping us create a positive experience for our members and visitors.
What You’ll Do- Greet and assist members and visitors.
- Handle phone calls, bookings, and general enquiries.
- Process payments and maintain accurate records.
- Support the team with administrative tasks.
- Experience using accounting software (Xero preferred) – tell us about your experience in your CV or cover letter.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint experience is a bonus).
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
- Experience in cash handling and EFTPOS transactions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A sense of humour and a “can-do” attitude!
