About the Role & Responsibilities:

• As a Drainage & Civil Pipe Layer / Installer, you will be a vital part of our team, specialising in the installation and maintenance of critical underground pipe networks for waste water, storm water, and potable water.
• Your responsibilities will extend to the installation of key underground structures, including manholes, catch pits, pump stations, and chambers.
• A core function of this position involves the construction of complex excavations, utilising a range of shoring techniques such as benching, shields, sheet piling, and Pile and plate.
• You will also be responsible for implementing effective de-watering and bypass systems, selecting appropriate pumps.
• Competence in operating various construction machinery like excavators, loaders, and rollers is essential.

• Interpreting detailed engineering plans and specifications.
• Executing accurate site set-out and survey control using levels, pipe lasers, and string lines.
• Supervising and providing training to site personnel, particularly during excavation works.
• Installing permanent drainage infrastructure.
• Conducting all necessary quality control testing, including compaction and pressure testing.
• Collaborating closely with the duty Engineer for effective planning of materials, personnel, plant, and project programming.

What You'll Bring:

• To be successful in this role, you must possess:-

• Completion of a formal apprenticeship and the required registration pathway.
• WTR endorsement.
• Confined Space and Gas Detection certification.
• A Class 2 license is considered ideal, but is not a mandatory requirement.
