This is an opportunity to step into a Clinical Nurse Lead role within a well-established, high-performing operating theatre team.
You will take ownership of an assigned theatre, support your team day-to-day, and play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality patient care.
This role suits an experienced Theatre Charge Nurse/Team Lead
The Role
You will be responsible for the coordination of your allocated theatre, ensuring clinical excellence and smooth operational flow.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating daily theatre operations and patient flow
- Ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality care delivery
- Mentoring and coaching team members
- Working closely with Surgeons, Anaesthetists and clinical stakeholders
- Driving continuous improvement and best practice
About You
You are a confident, capable Theatre Nurse with strong clinical foundations and a natural leadership style.
You will have:
- Current NZ Nursing Council APC
- Minimum 3 years perioperative experience (public or private)
- Orthopaedics experience
- Strong organisational and coordination skills
- Clear and professional communication
- Ability to remain calm and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine interest in supporting and developing others
