This is an opportunity to step into a Clinical Nurse Lead role within a well-established, high-performing operating theatre team.

You will take ownership of an assigned theatre, support your team day-to-day, and play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality patient care.

This role suits an experienced Theatre Charge Nurse/Team Lead

The Role

You will be responsible for the coordination of your allocated theatre, ensuring clinical excellence and smooth operational flow.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating daily theatre operations and patient flow
  • Ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality care delivery
  • Mentoring and coaching team members
  • Working closely with Surgeons, Anaesthetists and clinical stakeholders
  • Driving continuous improvement and best practice

About You

You are a confident, capable Theatre Nurse with strong clinical foundations and a natural leadership style.

You will have:

  • Current NZ Nursing Council APC
  • Minimum 3 years perioperative experience (public or private)
  • Orthopaedics experience
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills
  • Clear and professional communication
  • Ability to remain calm and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment
  • A genuine interest in supporting and developing others
