Nail Shop Manager

The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality customer service, provide effective staff supervision, and maintain an efficient workflow.
The ideal candidate will have strong practical skills, a thorough understanding of industry standards, and be capable of working in all aspects of professional nail care services.

This role focuses on driving business growth, upholding professional standards, and contributing to the overall success of the salon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all day-to-day operations of the salon to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional customer service.
  • Lead, supervise, and train a team of nail technicians, ensuring professional standards and up-to-date skills across the team.
  • Ensure staff are proficient in a wide range of nail services, including manicures, pedicures, gel and acrylic enhancements, nail art, and other advanced nail treatments.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of nail care trends, techniques, tools, and industry products, and ensure implementation across services.
  • Uphold and enforce strict hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety standards in accordance with industry and legal requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain clients, including loyalty programs, seasonal promotions, and exceptional customer service practices.
  • Respond to customer complaints and feedback professionally, ensuring swift resolution and continual improvement in service.
  • Manage inventory of salon products and supplies, placing timely orders to ensure sufficient stock levels without unnecessary surplus.
  • Track salon performance, including revenue, client retention, team productivity, and customer feedback; provide regular reports to management.
  • Support financial operations of the salon, including budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
  • Coordinate and support marketing efforts, including digital campaigns, promotions, and collaborations to increase salon visibility and revenue.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal obligations, including employment standards, licensing, and workplace policies.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming salon environment that aligns with brand values and professional expectations.
  • May be expected to meet targets set by the Director, such as achieving sales goals, improving customer retention, or increasing brand visibility.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a diverse team and engage positively with clients.
  • Apply strong organizational and problem-solving abilities to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently and calmly under pressure.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in nail care services. Overseas experience in the nail industry is welcomed and considered beneficial.

Pay Rate: NZD 29.00 – 50.00 per hour (depends on experience and performance)
