Position Overview
Due to an increase in workload, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our team.

This full-time role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of vehicles and machinery, ensuring every day brings new challenges and learning experiences.

The main hours of work are: Monday to Friday (8am - 5.30pm)

However, we expect you to work Saturday mornings (8am - 12 noon) when required, and be on our on-call roster.

This role will be Full Time Diesel Mechanic
Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered trucks, trailers, and machinery.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
  • Use diagnostic tools and technology to identify problems accurately.
  • Keep detailed records of work performed and parts used.
  • Ensure all repairs meet industry and safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to manage repair schedules and meet deadlines.
Requirements
  • Relevant trade qualifications/Minimum 3 years/ANZSCO Skill level 3
  • Strong understanding of diesel engine systems, and mechanical components.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools.
  • Ability to work on a variety of vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and handle heavy parts and tools.
  • Valid Full NZ Driver’s License, including Classes 2-5, or the ability to gain them
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with heavy-duty trucks, trailers, agricultural machinery, or construction equipment.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard diagnostic tools and software.
