Maintenance Fitter

The hourly rate will range from $38.00 - $40.00 per hour.

The purpose of this role is to assist the wider Engineering team to keep the production process running by installing and maintaining all mechanical equipment on site to a standard that complies with all relevant regulations. We are a fast-paced environment meaning this position will be varied and busy requiring the successful Candidate to demonstrate organisational abilities and enthusiasm for a processing environment.

Skills and experience we are looking for:

• A mechanical or maintenance/diagnostics trade qualification or be in the process of gaining a qualification
• Skilled & Working knowledge of maintaining industrial plant/equipment is preferable but not essential
• The ability to think logically and remain calm under pressure
• A working knowledge of manufacturing operations in the food or related industry
• Knowledge and experience of reliability-based maintenance
• Basic computer skills
• A good understanding of the Health & Safety requirements for a processing environment
