An opportunity has opened for an experienced shepherd general on Tangmere farm to join the owner operators at Flemington in Central Hawkes Bay.

Tangmere is a 985ha sheep breeding, lamb trading and bull finishing property spread over three intensive blocks. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to work alongside the owners in this dynamic farming operation which utilises modern technology such as Halter, Resolution and Hi-Lo.

• An enthusiastic attitude
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn
• Have 2-4 well trained working dogs
• Proven experience in sheep, cattle and pasture management
• Hand piece, fencing and tractor experience
• Have a good eye for animal health
• Have pride and respect for the workplace and the house provided
• A current NZ drivers licence
• NZ residency or valid NZ work visa
