- changing digital solutions across Aotearoa Mō te tūnga | About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Senior IT Project Manager to join our Offender Management Systems team, in Wellington National Office.
This Product team is responsible for the delivery and maintenance of systems and digital assets used by our frontline staff, and people living in prison or the community.
As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our projects are delivered successfully and reflect our values and vision.You'll be responsible for leading and coordinating project delivery across a range of initiatives, with a strong focus on collaboration, quality, and outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include:Manage the day-to-day delivery of IT projects to meet departmental and stakeholder needsWork closely with the Manager Offender Management Systems to ensure delivery objectives are met across budget, time and qualitySupport the Programme Manager with reporting and governance activitiesLead risk management across multiple projectsProvide timely and accurate reporting to key forumsCollaborate with internal and external providers to manage resources effectivelyEnsure projects are delivered within agreed timeframes, budgets and quality standards Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experienceWe're looking for someone with strong experience managing large and complex IT projects (application, software, SaaS), or multiple projects at once.
You'll also bring:A proven track record of delivering public sector projects on time and within budgetExperience with PRINCE2 or similar methodologies (a qualification is a bonus)Familiarity with IT procurement and change management processesStrong communication and facilitation skillsThe ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesExcellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus Utu ā-tau | SalaryThe midpoint of the salary range is $162,543 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $138,162- $195,052 per annum.
