**The role | Mo tenei turanga mahi**
We're seeking a new team member for a full-time position to work in our acute mental health crisis respite service, working alongside the crisis assessment and treatment team. This facility is located in a beautiful villa in Nelson and offers 24-hour care.We support individuals experiencing mental health distress that prevents them from staying in their home environment and you will play a vital role in providing short-term crisis respite support.
*The shift is Tuesday to Saturday 7:00am to 3:30pm in Nelson.*
You'll also:
- Focusing on the individuals needs and providing culturally safe practice
- Relevant administrative tasks, comprehensive notes and effective handover, and supporting and collaborating with your colleagues
- You'll need to be prepared to support our clients to do whatever it takes using a recovery model
- You'll complete tasks such as cleaning and maintaining things like filing, first aid kits, emergency kits and preparation of paperwork.
**About You | Mou**
For this role, you must hold a Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or an equivalent qualification or be currently working towards it). Additionally, you'll align with our commitment to a recovery-focused approach.
You'll have:
- New Zealand Certificate Level 4 in Health and Wellbeing (or a recognised equivalent, or currently studying towards it).
- Some mental health experience is needed
- A full New Zealand drivers licence
- You must hold a current comprehensive first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one.
- Applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand. This role is not supported under the AEWV.
