Watertight are looking for Experienced Waterproofing Applicators to join our teams in Queenstown and Wanaka

Job Description

Responsible for the application of waterproofing membranes to roofing and tanking areas of new buildings on construction sites. All work is to be carried out in accordance with product specifications and Watertight Systems standards. Tasks may include:

• Studying drawings, specifications and work sites to determine materials required
• Erecting ladders, scaffolds and other safety equipment
• Placing and securing waterproof sheets over roofing and taking substrates including eaves
• Nailing and stapling roofing underlay to roofs
• Aligning starter rows of roofing material with edges of roofs, securing with wire, staples and nails, and overlapping successive layers of tiles
• Sizing and cutting roofing material to fit around vents, chimney edges, corners and ridges, scuppers, vents and drains
• Fixing edge and ridge tiles in cement mortar
• Slipping roofing material under prefabricated flashing and nailing it down
• Caulking and flashing exposed nail heads to prevent leaks
• Lay out and adhere Torch On and TPO membranes to substrates
• Welding membrane laps
• Tidying site when job is completed, removing rubbish and collecting any unused materials and tools to take back to the storage yard

You will not be required to undertake any restricted work.
