  • $122,098The purpose of the Senior Clinical Governance Coordinator (SCGC) is to provide high quality oversight, advice and guidance to the Clinical Board and its sub-committees, as well as coordination of agreed significant projects and activities.Key functions of the role:Oversight of the functions and work plans of the sub-committees of the Clinical BoardSupports the Clinical Board by coordinating meetings, setting agendas in consultation with the Chair, collating reports and papers, taking minutes and action follow-up where necessaryIs the clinical governance technical expert, providing guidance and expertise to the Chairs of the Clinical Board sub-committeesDrives the hospital-wide dissemination and communication of clinical governance dashboards and activitiesEnsures the Clinical Governance Coordinators have the right information and resources for the various committees they supportProvides senior level support and advice to the other members of the Governance team and the wider quality function to support committee's activitiesSupports the Clinical Governance Manager on specified projects, including Patient Safety AlertsThe Senior Clinical Governance Coordinator reports to the Clinical Governance Manager CCHV and is responsible for contributing to the overall organisation's clinical governance coordination programmes.

The SCGC also provides coaching and mentoring support to the team of Clinical Governance Coordinators.About the Team/Service Location The Centre of Clinical Excellence supports the district to become a learning, pro-equity organisation where innovation and quality improvement is embedded in the practice of all staff.

About youEssential qualifications, skills and experience:Relevant clinical qualification or related experience in health servicesSignificant administration, project planning/coordination experienceStrong project and information management experienceExcellent SharePoint/MS Office skillsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with diverse groups and maintain themWorks collaboratively with othersStrong coaching and mentoring skillsSignificant experience of working in a fluid and dynamic environmentHighly accurate with strong attention to detailAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamExcellent written and oral communication skills at senior levelsFluency in Te Reo Maori is preferable and will be considered an advantage.Effective time management skills and the ability to meet delivery of commitments.Personal Attributes:Dedicated to improving care and outcomes for patients/consumers, and striving for excellencePlaces patients/consumers at the forefront of both quality improvement and the relevant measurements of the improvementPerseverance and commitmentDiscovering the truths of things
