Join the team at InterContinental Auckland, located in the iconic One Queen Street! We are looking for an exceptional Duty Manager who is ready to make their mark in a world-class hospitality environment.
As a key player in enhancing our guest experience, you will provide seamless, cross-functional support to the Club Lounge and Front Office teams, ensuring a warm, professional atmosphere and exceptional service for all guests. Explore your journey ahead- Deliver personalised service by engaging with guests to understand their preferences and needs, creating memorable experiences.
- Support the Rooms Division Manager in overseeing operations across both Club InterContinental and Front Office, ensuring seamless guest interactions and service standards.
- Foster teamwork by training, mentoring, and leading the team to uphold InterContinental standards.
- Ensure smooth daily operations by monitoring room inventory, reservations and guest requests.
- Act as the primary point of contact for both guests and colleagues when senior leadership is unavailable.
- Ensure smooth coordination with various departments, handling special requests and guest needs efficiently.
- Oversee the execution of regular operational checks, maintaining high service standards in guest rooms and public areas.
- A minimum of 2-4 years in a luxury hotel environment, ideally in a supervisory role within Front Office or Club Lounge operations.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and train teams, ensuring exceptional service and collaboration.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 23 kg, and bend and kneel when necessary.
- A strong ability to resolve guest concerns and deliver exceptional experiences./
