Our pay: $25-$30 per hour

We are a well-loved café shop located in Auckland.

We are looking for 2X full-time permanent pastry cooks to join our team.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Measure and combine ingredients and raw materials using hands/hand tools and other equipment to make doughs for pastry food and gelato
• Measure, mix and portion dough and fillings and gelato ingredients
• Check the quality of the ingredients and the prepared raw materials to make sure quality standard are met
• Follow recipes and production schedules to ensure consistent production
• Set, adjust and monitor steamer and other cookware's temperatures to ensure proper steaming and cooking time
• Take out the prepared food from the trays, steam grids, unloading, de-panning and cooling the finished products
• Decorate and adjust the display of the finished products
• Test the finished products to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality requirements
• Clean and restock workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
• Check the cleanliness of equipment and operation of machines before each run, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Skills and experience needed:

• At least two years’ relevant work experience in the same field/industry, OR
• A relevant level 4 diploma or an equivalent qualification
