Showroom Team Member - Wanaka - Alexandra

The role

As the one of the first point of contact at our Trade Counter and Trade Hall Showroom, you will interact daily with our customers who are the heart and soul of our business.

We are looking for someone who wants to grow and develop within a strong Locally Operated & owned business Supported by PlaceMakers New Zealand.
Daily you will be responsible for -
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with them by being solutions focused, offering product support and technical information.
  • Process sales at our Trade Counter
  • Play an integral part of growing sales within this department
  • Merchandising and run instore promotions
  • Assist customer with any returns or repairs
  • Monitoring inventory and cycle counts.

Offering 40 + hours a week, Monday-Friday.

About you:

You will play an important role in capturing sales opportunities across the showroom therefore your passion for creating long-lasting customer relationships is an absolute must!
  • Proven experience in a customer service in a retail sales environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with people from all ages and backgrounds.
  • Motivated, self-driven and able to work independently.
  • Computer and numeracy knowledge
  • Great attention to detail, organised and great time management
  • Strong sales focus and excellent communication skills
  • Keen interest in progression to supervisory level
