Sales Rep – Gilmours Central

We are now looking for a Sales Professional to join our team and help us achieve this vision.

The Role

As a Sales Representative, you'll be one of the faces of our business, working closely with customers across the foodservice and hospitality sector. You'll develop and manage sales strategies alongside our leadership team while also rolling up your sleeves to deliver practical solutions to our customers.

Your key focus will be on building strong relationships, growing sales and margin, and supporting our customers' success. This includes:
  • Account Management & Sales – engaging with current and new customers across our food and liquor range.
  • Customer Solutions – introducing new products, solving customer problems, and spotting opportunities for growth.
  • Strategic Input – helping shape store sales strategy, ensuring it aligns with the wider Gilmours sales approach.
  • Reporting & Analysis – using Salesforce and reporting tools to track performance, analyse results, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaboration – working alongside operations, marketing, and merchandise teams to create a high-service offer for our customers.

What we're looking for
  • Proven experience dealing with people and customers (sales experience preferred, but not essential).
  • A background in food, hospitality, or FMCG is highly advantageous.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills across a diverse customer base.
  • Ability to problem-solve independently and balance multiple priorities.
  • Commercial acumen and an eye for detail, including digital and analytical capability.
  • Resilience when dealing with challenging customer situations.
  • Full NZ Driver License
