The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll join a forward-thinking commercial construction team delivering high-quality projects across the Otago region. You’ll work closely with the Commercial Manager and project teams, taking full ownership of your jobs from initial estimating through to post-contract delivery.
Your Key Responsibilities
Pre-Construction Estimating:- Prepare tender documents and assist with bid submissions
- Compile Schedules of Quantities using NZ standard methods
- Provide accurate cost plans using elemental and first principles estimating
- Procurement and contract administration
- Process payment claims and subcontractor schedules
- Manage variations, cost control, and monthly reporting

What You’ll Bring- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
- 5+ years’ experience in commercial construction (NZ or AUS)
- Solid knowledge of NZS3910/3916 & Master Builders SA 2017
- Proven ability to negotiate and manage contracts
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
