Contract Travel Adviser – Work From Home
KWH Journeys is a boutique, family-run travel company based in Queenstown. Through our brands, including New Zealand Private Tours and Australian Custom Tours, we create tailor-made holidays, private tours, and multi-day itineraries across New Zealand and Australia.
We are looking for an experienced New Zealand-based Contract Travel Adviser to help design, present, and sell customised holidays.
This is a flexible work-from-home contractor role, paid by hourly retainer plus commission. You must be based in New Zealand and use your own computer, phone, and reliable internet connection.
You must have previous experience in travel sales, itinerary planning, or tailor-made holiday design. You must also have knowledge of New Zealand travel. Knowledge of Australia would be an advantage.
A key part of this role is responding quickly to new enquiries, as many of our clients are overseas and expect timely, professional communication.
We work with a trusted wholesaler, so your role is to create basic spreadsheet-style itineraries outlining the route, nights, travel style, and key experiences. The wholesaler then prepares the fully costed and detailed itinerary for you to review, present, and send to the client.
You will be involved in:- Creating basic spreadsheet-style itineraries
- Responding quickly to new travel enquiries
- Speaking with clients by email, phone, Zoom, or WhatsApp
- Qualifying enquiries and understanding client preferences
- Presenting and selling completed itineraries
- Following up with clients to help convert enquiries into bookings
- Supporting clients while they are travelling
