The Triage Team plays a vital, front facing role in the Community Mental Health and Addictions Service, receiving the majority of referrals into the service and ensuring that they are referred on to the appropriate service.As part of the Triage Team, you will:Provide timely mental health assessments and risk assessmentsCoordinate access to the appropriate services and supportsDeliver brief interventions and crisis supportWork collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamEngage with tangata whaiora and whānau in a culturally responsive mannerThis position will be 64 rostered hours per fortnight, between the hours of 0800-1630 Mon-Friday.

You thrive under pressure and are skilled at making clinical decisions.You hold a current NZ APC and post graduate certificate in Mental Health.Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with tangata whaiora and whanau.A commitment to culturally safe practice and Te Tiriti of Waitangi Principles.Strong documentation and time management skills.A collaborative approach to multidisciplinary team work.
