We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join the modern Waikato workshop for a long term opportunity. In this hands-on role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of truck brands including Scania, DAF, Hino, Freightliner and Trailers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Diagnose and repair faults and malfunctions in diesel engines
  • Perform scheduled servicing and maintenance on diesel trucks and heavy machinery
  • Troubleshoot and fix electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of diesel engine technology and components
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain clear communication with clients
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed
  • Support a safe and efficient workshop environment at all times

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
  • Trade qualification in heavy automotive engineering
  • Minimum 4 years experience working on trucks and trailers
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills across diesel, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Dedicated to maintaining safety and quality standards in the workshop
