Join our team as we work to create a future where our mokopuna are raised in Mana Atua, Mana Tupuna, Mana Whenua, Mana Moana Mana Tangata. This is a Allied Health role, working as a Kaupapa Maori Social Worker in a healthcare setting.
Permanent part time (20 hours per week)Working as part of Te Pare o Toi Tauwhiro and Allied Health Social Worker teams
Collaborating with a range of professional roles across Te Pare o Toi and the wider Hauora a Toi services
Supporting whanau to achieve Toi Ora Partnering closely with other members of the healthcare team, particularly the Renal Specialty Team
Championing and supporting Toi Ora knowledge and cultural competence within the workforce
Ongoing support for continued learning and the application of new knowledge

About the Team/Service/ Location
Te Pare o Toi is the Maori Health Service for Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty. We seek courageous, passionate, and driven individuals who are inspired by Te Tiriti o Waitangi and want to be part of leading a paradigm shift toward Toi Ora within Te Moana a Toi.Te Pare o Toi Service is transforming into a `Change engine for Toi Ora as we progress our new strategy, Te Toi Ahorangi Rautaki 2030.

You will have previous experience working as a Kaupapa Maori Social Worker in a healthcare setting. Previous leadership experience is advantageous
What you will bring:
A readiness to make a positive difference for whanau, hapu, and iwiTauwhiro Kaupapa Maori with passion and 5+ years experience
Experience in applying Kaupapa Maori models of practice (advantageous)
Leadership experience (advantages)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong commitment to te reo me ona tikanga
A strong drive to apply Te Ao Maori views, concepts, knowledge, and practices in your work
The ability to demonstrate, embody, and embed behaviours consistent with He Pou Oranga Tangata Whenua and Hauora a Toi Manaakitanga values
Flexibility to work evening and/or weekend work as required
