Flooring Installer - Commercial Vinyl
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Flooring Installer to join our team at Carpet Court. Based out of our Christchurch warehouse, in this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for installing commercial vinyl and prep work. You'll deliver high-quality workmanship in line with industry best practices and compliance standards while creating an exceptional experience for our customers.
This is a Monday - Friday position, with additional hours available if interested. $30-$34 per hour dependent on experience
Key Duties and Responsibilities:- Install floor coverings in accordance with current New Zealand Standards and industry guidelines
- Deliver outstanding customer service on-site, always wearing branded gear and presenting a clean, tidy vehicle
- Ensure accurate measuring, cutting, and fitting of all floor coverings
- Maintain and care for tools, equipment, and company vehicles
- Actively promote and adhere to health and safety policies, including timely reporting of any incidents or near misses
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
- Proven experience in flooring installation
- A clean, unrestricted NZ Class 1 driver’s licence
- Strong working knowledge of NZ installation standards and industry best practices
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude
- Strong measurement and calculation ability
