Civil Labourer
About the role:
Reporting to Extrastaff as a civil operator, you’ll play a key role in helping to build and maintain essential infrastructure.A civil operator operates heavy machinery on construction sites to assist with infrastructure projects like roads, bridges, and buildings.They play a crucial role in ensuring the job is done efficiently, safely, and according to plan.This position is a temporary role with full time hours and may have the potential for a permanent full time position.
This is a physically demanding role that offers both challenges and rewards, with the chance to grow in the construction industry.
Key Duties:
- Operate heavy machinery like excavators, bulldozers, and loaders.
- Perform excavation, grading, and leveling of land.
- Assist in road construction and infrastructure development.
- Follow blueprints and site plans to complete tasks.
- Maintain and inspect equipment regularly.
- Collaborate with the construction team to meet project deadlines.

Skills and Experience:
- Experience operating heavy machinery like the following WTR, Class 2, Class 4, Bulldozer, Grader and loader, Excavator (GPS). Watercart and rollers..
- Knowledge of construction processes and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and maps.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Certification for operating certain machines (preferred but not always required)
