Truck Driver - Class 4

We are looking for a Class 4 Truck Driver to join our team at Macaulay Metals, Rotorua Yard and will be travelling throughout the Bay of Plenty and beyond based on trucking schedules.

Macaulay Metals is a 100% New Zealand owned and operated Metal Recycling Company and we’ve been in operation for over 60 years! We purchase both steel and non-ferrous metals, process them and sell them for further recycling. We are working hard to recycle scrap metal and reduce waste!

This can be a physically demanding but very rewarding job for the right person.

• This is a busy and varied position, working 40 hours per week minimum. Hours are Monday to Friday with some Saturday work.
• We offer training and development opportunities.

• Class 4/5 drivers with experience driving road ranger and manual gear boxes, experience tarping & chaining loads
• DG and F endorsement a definite advantage
• Hi-ab experience an advantage, but training can be provided
• Ability to provide great service as the face of Macaulay Metals to our suppliers
• Good time management skills and ability to adapt to changing pick-up schedules (potential for overnights)
• Be a team player
• Clean criminal and driving record
• Be able to pass a Pre-Employment drug and alcohol test, and random drug testing as required
• You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand i.e., be either a New Zealand or Australian citizen or a New Zealand permanent resident.
