Tilers

We are an established tiling contractor in Auckland and seek to recruit skilled tilers. The successful candidates will be required to work at our nominated construction sites within the Auckland region.

Guaranteed minimum work hours of 30 a week.

The successful candidates will prepare material and equipment and cut and lay tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces. They are responsible for ensuring that tiles are cut and installed to precise specifications and that they meet quality standards.

Tasks include:

• examining plans, measuring and marking surfaces and laying out work
• preparing wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout and adhesive, filling holes and cracks, and

• spreading adhesive onto prepared surfaces and tiles, and setting tiles in position
• using tile-cutting tools to cut and shape tiles needed for edges and corners, and around objects such as fittings and pipes
• ensuring tiles are correctly aligned and spaced
• grouting tiles, and cleaning and removing excess grout
• applying waterproofing systems
• laying coloured tiles in patterns to create mosaics

• Two years tiling experience
• Physically fit and healthy
• Health and safety conscious
• Work with minimum supervision
• Own transport

Preference will be given New Zealand citizens/resident visa holders.
