  • rebuilding a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability,whānau-centred care, and excellence.About the RoleHere at Christchurch Hospital we are looking for an experiencedPhysiotherapist to join our Medical Specialtiesand Neurosciences team working across our Medical wards.Our team workcollaboratively together to assess and manage a wide range of presentations inGeneral Medicine and the Medical Assessment Unit, while our wider team supporteach other to cover other specialties such as Acute Stroke, Neurosurgery, Neurology,Oncology and Haematology.

You will be actively involved in theeducation and training of 4th year undergraduate students and our juniorrotational staff.

You will need to be enthusiastic and confident in yourclinical practice and have a collaborative communication style.

You will be required to contribute to the weekend and on-call rosters.In this role, you will be responsible for:Undertaking expert assessments, completing appropriate interventions and providing advice or referring to other servicesSupervising and mentoring rotational staff and final year physiotherapy studentsHelping to facilitate service improvementsAbout YouWe are seeking an enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our team, responsible for delivering comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and treatments for patients with diverse and complex conditions.

The role involves developing patient-focused treatment programs and managing resources under the guidance of the Team Leader.A broad range of experience, ideally including general medicine, respiratory and neurologyThe ability to work collaboratively across the multi-disciplinary teamEnthusiasm and confidence in sharing your knowledge across your disciplineA working knowledge of quality improvement processesCompetency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reoMāori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of yourlearning and growth Experience in projects / initiatives which giveeffect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application ofMātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply inhealthcare settingsWorkingfor Health New ZealandHealthNew Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is
