  • impact asset portfolioDrive regulatory assurance and risk management in partnership with internal teams and service providersShape and maintain critical frameworks that support safe, lawful, and resilient infrastructure Mō te tūnga | About the roleThe Statutory Compliance Manager ensures the Department's property assets and infrastructure meet all regulatory and compliance obligations.

The role focuses on maintaining a strong compliance framework and managing risks that could affect future compliance.You will work closely with Asset Management teams to monitor compliance, support policy and procedure development, and provide advice on regulatory changes.

The role includes managing key registers for building safety requirements such as seismic ratings, asbestos management, fire schemes, building warrants of fitness and Hazardous Substances.You will lead audits and reviews of Business Continuity Plans and site-specific assessments to ensure risks are addressed and compliance is maintained.

The role also involves reviewing compliance across projects and hazardous substance protocols and working with other teams to resolve issues and improve safety systems.This is a key role supporting the Department's strategy, Hōkai Rangi, by helping create safe and compliant environments across all sites.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experienceExtensive experience managing facilities and property compliance across large, complex institutional environmentsStrong working knowledge of asset-related legislation and regulatory frameworks, including building safety and infrastructure standardsDemonstrated ability to lead audits, develop compliance registers, and produce detailed business continuity and impact assessment plansProven capability in planning and delivering projects, including feasibility studies and risk-based compliance initiativesHigh proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using enterprise systems such as SAP, EDRMS, and Access Ngā painga | The benefitsThe midpoint of the salary range is $147,765 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $125,601
  • $177,318 per annum.
