At Health Quality & Safety Commission Te Tāhū Hauora (the Commission) we work with clinicians, health providers, whānau and consumers to improve health and disability support services across New Zealand.Our goal is to ensure all groups get safe and high-quality care that matches their health needs, including improving access to care for those with needs that are not currently being addressed.The Commission is a Crown Agent with a board responsible to the Minister of Health.Join us as we partner with clinicians, providers and whānau to improve health and disability support services in New Zealand.About the role:As Business Support Coordinator, you'll deliver everyday administrative services, basic IT assistance and facilities coordination to ensure our offices run smoothly.

This is an in-office role offering 25-30 hours per week.

  • Provide daily admin tasks; support meetings and events; assist directors with coordination; manage basic digital filing.IT support
  • Provide basic on‑site tech assistance for staff; set up and support Teams/teleconference calls.Facilities coordination
  • Keep the office tidy and welcoming; maintain kitchen hygiene; manage stationery and supplies; handle mail and couriers.Health and safety
  • Act as floor warden; attend safety meetings and training; support evacuation drills; spot and report hazards.Cultural safety and compliance
  • Apply Te Tiriti principles and anti‑racism practice; follow policies to support an inclusive workplace.Collaboration and improvement
  • Work with admin colleagues and stakeholders to deliver seamless service and help improve processes.Who we're looking forExperience in office coordination or administration.High computer literacy, including Microsoft 365 (Word, SharePoint, Teams).Excellent communication, stakeholder management and documentation skills.Strong attention to detail, shows initiative and the ability to manage competing priorities, while showing sound judgement with a high level of confidentiality.A proactive, kind, and adaptable approach to work.Why join usYou'll be part of a supportive workplace that values kindness, continuous learning and practical problem solving.
