Store Manager & 2IC Roles - Hastings
We're opening up in Hastings and are searching for a Store Manager and a 2IC to work together, leading and managing the team. Ideally you will be availalbe to start Tuesday 30th September.
The roles are as follows:
Retail Manager: This is a Tuesday-Saturday role with 35.5 hours per week.Tuesday - Friday: 9am-5pm
Saturday: 10am-4pm
The Retail Store Manager role is a senior position working in liaison with the Christchurch team to manage the full day-to-day operations of your store. Our ideal candidate will be someone who has management experience in a retail environment.Full traiing will be provided.
As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for managing and working with your 2IC and wider team to foster a positive environment and ensure your store runs smoothly both while you are working and in your absence.
Your core responsibilities will be customer service, stock management (merchandising, receipting, dispatching, stocktaking, etc.), Cash handling and management, including banking, team training, minor HR, covering rosters, following food safety plans, overseeing website order picking and dispatching, and warehouse receipting and dispatching.This list is not exhaustive, and other ad hoc tasks may be included.
We're looking for someone friendly, confident, and detail-oriented who can work in line with company procedures and processes. Ideally, you will be competent with a computer and comfortable with inventory and team management.
Retail 2IC: This is a Sunday-Thursday role with 31 hours per week.Monday: 9am-5pm
Tuesday-Thursday: 9am-4pm
Sunday: 10am-2pm
The Retail 2IC role is a senior position working closing alongside the Store Manager to provide a fun and friendly workplace and customer experience. Our ideal candidate will be someone who has 2IC or similar experience in a retail environment.Someone with extensive retail experience may also be considered. Full training will be provided.
As a 2IC you may be responsible for serving and engaging with customers in a fun & friendly manner, stock management tasks; merchandising, receipting, stocktaking, basic daily & weekly cleaning tasks, opening & closing the store, cash handling, website order picking and dispatching, assisting the Store Manager in managing the team, taking responsibility for the store in the Store Managers absence, Engaging with the team to ensure tasks are completed, assisting in training.This list is not exhaustive, and other ad hoc tasks may be included.
We’re looking for someone who is friendly, confident and decisive. Able to work alongside and under a Manager, as well as lead junior team members, while following store processes and procedures. Ideally, you will be competent with a computer and comfortable handling cash.
