Christchurch - Cool Store - Storeperson / Driver

Cool & Fresh is a family owned business with a list of high quality clients primarily sold through chilled, frozen and fresh grocery departments.

We need an organised storeperson and driver to help us manage our clients' stock and fulfil the demands of the grocery trade.

The role:

• Is part of a team of 6 that runs the warehouse and makes deliveries to local Christchurch stores
• Work on the floor to assist the warehouse team to pick and pack orders for both local and national freight
• This role will have a focus on freezer work. You will work with the Freezer Supervisor to run this warehouse efficiently and accurately
• Manage stock levels to ensure high DIFOT figures
• Rotate stock and replenish picking faces to work to FIFO model
• Look for efficient ways to get the job done
• Organise and assemble picked orders for consolidation and dispatch to third party freight providers
• Become expert in our inventory management systems
• Use tablets and internet connectivity to manage stock in real time
• Do delivery runs to local supermarkets and to the Foodstuffs DC
• This is a hands on role!

Requirements:

• Forklift licence - preferred, we'll pay if needed
• Class 2 or above truck licence - preferred, we'll pay if needed
• We will provide training for the right candidate
• Experience with computerised inventory systems is preferred
• Attitude is most important - we can teach you everything else!
