About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join the Cleaning Service team has become available in the role of a Second in Charge. Applications are invited from experienced candidates to fill this vacancy. You would be working as part of a dynamic team within our hospital and will be responsible for:
Providing support and assisting the Cleaning Service Supervisor, maintaining roster management, meeting cleaning compliances whist supporting and adhering to all Infection, Prevention and Control guidelines. Helping to promote and foster a team environment that enhances partnership and cooperation.

About the Team/Service/ Location
We currently have a team of approximately 46 staff including casuals. The service operates between the hours of 06:00 23:00 hrs, supporting two shifts, including weekends and all public holidays. You would be expected to be flexible around these hours.

About you
Ideally you will have 3-4 years experience in the cleaning industry, preferably in healthcare.
Knowledge and experience maintaining floorcare programmes.
Proven abilities or qualifications in supervisory management or leadership.
Have proven knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace.
Have effective communication skills and computer literate in (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Proven experience training staff.
Be willing to gain further formal qualifications.
