Versatile Maintenance contractor/Handyman Wanted!

We cover everything from renovations to healthy homes compliance, cladding and rot repairs, gibbing, plastering, painting, to small jobs such as replacing door latches. Our reputation is built on exceptional workmanship and reliability, and we’re seeking a versatile Handyman/Maintenance Contractor to join our dynamic team.

The Role:

We’re looking for a skilled Handyman/Maintenance Contractor with a broad skill set in carpentry, building, plastering, painting, and more. You’ll work on diverse projects, including bathroom renovations, rot repairs, gibbing, painting etc so this role demands initiative, flexibility, the ability to work unattended, and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plastering, painting, cladding, and rot repairs
• Execute bathroom renovations, healthy homes compliance work, decking, fencing, and fitting door handles/window latches
• Upkeep of work vehicle (may be taken home provided secure parking)
• Keeping office informed of job progression and uploading of photos and information to inhouse app.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control on all projects
• Work independently or with a team to meet project deadlines for rental agencies and government contracts
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and NZ building regulations

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in multiple trades (carpentry, plastering, painting, building, etc.)
• Minimum 3-5 years in maintenance or related fields
• Exceptional workmanship and strong quality control skills
• Ability to work unattended with initiative and problem-solving skills
• Clean, valid NZ driver’s license (mandatory)
• Clear police background check (mandatory)
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Own hand tools i.e. Drills, Saws etc. (We provide ladders, and the bulk of larger equipment)

• Competitive hourly rate based on experience - Reviewed regularly
• Performance based bonuses - 3 monthly
• Work vehicle supplied which may be taken home (Provided secure parking)
