- Roster: 2-3 days/week, 05:00 am to 03:00 pm
About the role:
As a Delivery Driver at Service Foods, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive their orders on time and in excellent condition. You'll deliver a wide range of food products across Hawkes Bay region, while providing outstanding customer service.
Key responsibilities:- Safely operate delivery vehicles (vans and trucks) to transport goods
- Load and unload products, ensuring they are securely and safely transported
- Deliver goods according to customer orders in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Provide outstanding customer service by interacting professionally with clients
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe and efficient delivery
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly
- Assist with other warehouse duties when not on delivery runs
- Fill vehicles with fuel and report on any maintenance requirements
- Perform daily checks – oils, coolant, WOF etc.
- Wash and clean trucks or other vehicles when required
- Help warehouse team as and when needed
About You
We're looking for someone who is reliable, customer-focused, and ready to hit the ground running.
You will have the following skills and attributes:- a full Class 2 driver's license, must be able to drive manual
- Have clear communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of Hawke's Bay and its surrounding areas is a plus
- Reasonably good literacy and numeracy skills
- Be confident, reliable, flexible and have attention to detail
- Clean driving and criminal records
- Have prior NZ experience and knowledge of basic food ingredients.
- Be physically strong and fit; should be able to lift up to 20 kgs.
- Possess good organisational and time management skills.
- Be a team player with a positive attitude
- Have reliable transport for commute
