We’re looking for a practical, solutions-focused leader to take charge of the yard and maintenance at Eastland Port. As our Yard & Maintenance Manager, you won’t just manage assets—you’ll lead a team that keeps our critical infrastructure safe, functional and ready to perform.
From workshop operations and rosters to maintenance planning, contractor coordination, and capital project support. It’s a hands-on role that blends technical know-how with leadership—perfect for someone who enjoys seeing tangible results from their efforts and takes pride in supporting people to do their best work.

You’ll lead a close-knit team of 6–8 and be trusted to shape how we maintain our infrastructure—from smart scheduling and safety-first thinking to keeping systems humming behind the scenes.
**What you’ll be doing**- Leading the yard maintenance and asset maintenance teams with a strong focus on safety, service, and accountability
- Coordinating preventative and reactive maintenance plans across port infrastructure and assets
- Using asset management tools to track, plan, and report on work
- Managing the workshop space for port operations, inventory, tools, and supplier coordination
- Management of the port's mobile fleet
- Supporting infrastructure projects, contractor work, and system improvements
- Developing your team’s capability, celebrating wins, and driving a positive, solutions-focused culture
- At least 5 years’ experience in maintenance, infrastructure, or operations roles
- Strong team leadership experience—preferably in a busy, physical environment
- Excellent coordination and planning skills, with a safety-first mindset
- Hands-on mechanical, electrical or plant operations knowledge
- Sound understanding of H&S regulations, compliance, and contractor management
- Trade or technical qualification
