- About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Business Analyst to join our Finance Business Partnering team In this role, you will work closely with finance colleagues and business groups across MBIE to deliver high quality financial and non financial insights that support informed decision making.
This is a senior analytical and advisory role, suited to someone who enjoys working in complex environments, partnering with stakeholders, and influencing outcomes through data, insight, and sound financial judgement.
In this role, you will: Provide expert financial analysis, modelling, and insights to support strategic and operational decision making Support budgeting, forecasting, baseline updates, budget bids, and capital and operating business cases Deliver financial input into Cabinet papers, fee and levy reviews, and investment proposals Monitor financial performance against budgets and appropriations, identifying risks, opportunities, and trends Partner closely with Finance Business Partners to support business planning, performance monitoring, and strategic initiatives Contribute to improving financial capability, systems, processes, and reporting across the business Help drive a culture of continuous improvement and high performance financial practice within MBIE Ngā pukenga me ngā wheako e hiahiatia ana
