With ongoing growth, we are actively recruiting for two (2) experienced Crane/Hiab Operators to be part of our team, who will be delivering civil construction projects across the wider Auckland region.
Key Duties and Responsibilities- testing the operation of plant before use to ensure safety
- operating controls to rotate cranes, move cranes on fixed rails, raise and lower jibs and booms, and raise,
- working in conjunction with Construction Riggers and Crane Chasers to position hooks and raise, move and
- controlling the movement of loads, and monitoring speed, acceleration and braking distances directly and by
- monitoring plant operation, instruments and gauges to detect malfunctions and problems
- lubricating ropes and winches on cranes and replacing worn cables
- may operate cranes fitted with attachments for purposes such as demolition and pile driving
- may operate overhead cranes using hand controls suspended by cables from cranes
- 3 years’ experience in operating a Hiab and heavy trucks.
- Hiab qualification will be preferred but not essential
- Full NZ Class 4 Drivers License as a minimum
- Relevant temporary Traffic Management training (TTM Worker) as work is on the roads
- Able to work Monday – Saturday and nightshift when required
