In this role, you'll provide expert advice, drive continuous improvement, and embed a proactive safety culture across varied operational environments. You will:Be the key contact for HSW across assigned groups and regionsSupport risk and control management, action plans, and incident investigationsImplement HSW policies and standardsDeliver monthly performance reports and trend analysisEngage with internal teams and external partners to strengthen HSW practicesPromote wellbeing programmes and initiatives across the organisationTravel to project sites in your region to engage with local teams and be an advisorYou will find out more about the role here: Position DescriptionYou will find out more about the role here Position DescriptionKo koe tēnei | About youYou'll bring:Subject matter expertise in Health, Safety and WellbeingExperience with HSW management systems and safety investigationsExperience in working with contractors and third partiesStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skillsAbility to present at leadership meetings and influence decision-makingA tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline, or equivalent industry experienceDiploma or Certification in Health and Safety (or working towards it)You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori.
You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public service.
