Marine Mechanic

Want to work in an adventure playground near Lake Taupo and the Tongariro National Park, with a reputable company and a supportive team in Turangi, in the Taupo District? Turangi Marine is looking for an experienced qualified marine mechanic to work in our busy marine workshop.

• knowledge and diagnosis of marine outboards, inboards and jet skis
• operation and understanding of marine specific tools and software
• able to complete a service within franchised specified timeframes
• able to communicate and quote on job requests / change to job with clients
• experience in fitting marine electronics within quoted timeframes
• accurately records stock and labour charges on job cards
• orders parts and supplies required to complete the job in a timely manner
• provides polite customer service and takes responsibility for the work including any changes
• keeps a clean and presentable workstation and workshop
• mentors trainees where appropriate
• able to complete new boat fit-ups
• marine specific qualifications to NZQA Level 4 or equivalent to 5 years experience

• working with a progressive and highly skilled team,
• access to Yamaha and industry training
• living in an adventure playground,
• overtime work (if agreed).
