Senior Electrical Engineer

This is a New Zealand–owned and operated building services consultancy with a reputation for delivering high-profile projects across health, education, industrial and wider Commerical builds. With a growing pipeline and a technically respected leadership team, they are now seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead their electrical discipline and drive excellence across public and private sector builds.

You’ll be involved from early design through to taking ownership for the full delivery of projects, ensuring quality, coordination, and client satisfaction.

• Lead electrical design and delivery across building services projects
• Manage design coordination with other disciplines and consultants
• Oversee QA, documentation standards, and technical excellence
• Mentor and inspire junior engineers and contribute to team growth
• Liaise with clients, manage relationships, and identify new opportunities
• Support business development and contribute to their market presence
• Ensure financial performance and resource efficiency across projects
• Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Services or equivalent
• Chartered Engineer status (or working towards)
• 10+ years’ experience in building services electrical engineering
• Strong technical knowledge across vertical and horizontal infrastructure
• Experience with Green Star, Homestar, WELL, and sustainability frameworks (desirable)
• Proven leadership, client management, and project delivery skills
• Growth mindset, attention to detail, and excellent work ethic
