Site Foreman - Residential Construction

We’re growing our team at Greater Construction and looking for a Site Foreman who takes pride in doing things properly. Someone who is organised, calm under pressure, communicates clearly and can work autonomously on and off the tools whilst keeping the sites running smoothly from start to finish.
If you enjoy structure, care about quality, and like working with a team that gets things done the right way, this role will suit you well.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for managing everything that happens on site — from subcontractors and materials through to safety, daily reporting, and keeping the programme on track. You’ll work closely with our Construction Manager and wider team to deliver well-built, tidy, high-quality homes we’re proud to hand over.
This role is hands-on, fast-moving, and requires someone who can bring consistency and control to the site each day.
What You’ll Be Doing- Coordinating subcontractors and managing daily site operations
- Running pre-starts, toolbox meetings, and completing safety checks
- Reviewing progress against programme and issuing fortnightly look-aheads
- Keeping site records and documentation up to date in Procore and SiteApp Pro
- Staying on top of defects and closing them out quickly
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and compliant worksite
- Monitoring materials, deliveries, and short-term scheduling
- Reviewing on-site variations and contractor invoices with the QS
- Keeping the Construction Manager updated on progress, challenges, and risks
- Carrying out building works on the tools when required
- Providing top quality customer service to existing and new clients
- Your work keeps the build moving forward, safely and efficiently.

Skills & Experience We Value- Experience as a Site Manager or Foreman in residential construction
- Solid understanding of NZ building practices
- Ability to read plans and manage trades confidently
- Comfortable using Procore, SiteApp Pro, or similar systems
- Strong communication and time management skills
- A practical, level-headed approach to problem solving
