Maintenance and Facilities Coordinator
Reporting to the Custodian, you’ll work independently and with the grounds team to keep buildings and grounds safe, functional, and well presented.
About the Role
The Maintenance and Facilities Coordinator supports the upkeep of the school campus. Working to maintenance plans and prioritising repairs as required, within timeframes and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and minor building projects
Maintain gardens, grounds, and outdoor areas to a high standard
Support site presentation, safety, and functionality, including pools, vehicles, and driveways
Supports maintenance planning, and record keeping
Assist with event set-ups and general site upkeep
Ensure health, safety, and compliance with fire and property regulations
About You
Has experience in maintenance, building, grounds work, or a related trade
Trade experience or certification is an advantage (but not essential)
Enjoys gardening and physical, hands-on work
Is self-motivated, reliable, and able to work unsupervised
Has good attention to detail and takes pride in their work
Communicates well with a wide range of people
Is committed to supporting young people in a school environment
You must be eligible to work in New Zealand and satisfactorily pass all pre-employment checks such as Police Vetting and reference checking.
