Key Requirements:
- NZQF Level 4 or above qualification in sports science, fitness management, business, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of fitness programming, member engagement strategies, and NZ safety regulations.
- Excellent people management and communication skills, with experience in staff training and supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organise, control, and promote the activities, facilities, and services of the fitness centre (retail gym environment).
- Develop class schedules, training programs, and promotional campaigns to attract and retain members.
- Manage staffing: recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate instructors, front‑desk staff, and administrative team.
- Monitor financial performance track membership sales, manage budgets, and oversee pricing strategies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations, and oversee equipment maintenance and facility hygiene.
- Liaise with external partners and stakeholders to promote the centre and organise events or special programs.
- Prepare operational reports and performance updates for business owners or senior management.
