  • HomeAbout youThis position requires you to have several essential skills and knowledge requirements beyond the normal relevant tertiary qualification, NZ registration with a professional body and current Annual Practicing Certificate.
Requirements for this position are:The ability to demonstrate high levels of clinical knowledge in mental health disorders, psychiatric and addiction medications, and the management of risk.Practice based therapeutic modes of intervention in a person centred, family friendly, recovery model.Three years minimum experience working with case load management, identifying co-existing problems and delivering clinical and psychosocial case in a variety of community settings and proven practical experience as a registered health professional in mental health and addiction clinical settings, adult addiction and co-existing problems in mental health is preferred.High levels of communication, customer relations and managing diversity skills, empathy and bi-cultural sensitivity.Competent computer skills in Microsoft word and ability to learn computer software packages quickly, a police clearance and current clean driver's license are also required.Have a compassionate and enthusiastic understanding for mental health well-being and ability to deliver interventions that is reflective of Health New Zealand/Te Whatu Ora
