Forklift/Digger Operator - Inwards Goods

No days are the same with the wide variety of product on our site requiring processing. It can be messy work, but there is a great team surrounding you where everybody helps each other out.

• Receive incoming deliveries and direct truck drivers to appropriate unloading areas.
• Operate forklifts, diggers and other machinery to unload, move, and position materials safely and efficiently.
• Visually inspect incoming loads for compliance, contamination, or prohibited items.
• Accurately sort, stage, and store different types of waste and recyclables in designated areas.
• Load outbound trucks with processed or sorted materials for transport to third-party facilities.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas within the yard, unloading bays, and storage zones.
• Assist in the coordination of daily inwards and outwards goods flow to support operational efficiency.
• Perform routine safety checks and basic maintenance on forklifts and yard equipment.
• Communicate clearly with drivers, contractors, and team members to ensure smooth yard operations.
• Support general yard duties including site upkeep, manual handling, and ad hoc tasks as required.
• Work in all weather conditions and adhere to site safety and environmental protocols at all times.
