We’re on the lookout for experienced Cooks and Kitchenhands to join a project-based site in beautiful Taupo. If you’re passionate about good food, can thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, and have the qualifications to match — we’d love to hear from you.

About the Roles:

• Day Shift 6.00 am – 6.00 pm
• Night Shift 6.00 pm – 6.00am

• Previous commercial cooking experience (essential)
• Experience with menu planning is ideal (Cooks only)
• Hold a current Level 3 Catering Certificate or NZQA Unit Standards 167, 168, and 20666
• Must currently hold a valid New Zealand work visa or have the legal right to work in New Zealand

• Ability to work in a high-volume kitchen environment
• Reliable, hardworking, and a team player

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure food is ordered, stored, and prepared according to agreed menus
• Oversee daily cooking and kitchen operations
• Manage stocktake and inventory
• Maintain food safety and FCP (Food Control Plan) compliance & Allergens Matrix
• Monitor and control food waste
• Lead and support the kitchen team
• Submit food and supply orders
• Report to the Site Manager

• Food preparation and dishwashing
• General kitchen and dining room cleaning
• Assist with day-to-day kitchen operations
• Provide support to the Head Chef and Cooks

• Approximately six months of project-based work
• Uniform provided
• Fortnightly pay
• Great roster pattern with plenty of downtime
• Be part of a supportive onsite team
• Contribute to keeping hardworking crews well-fed and fuelled for the job
