Occupational Health Nurse – Part-Time (Permanent)
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Occupational Health Nurse to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. This role is suitable for a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse, and new graduates are welcome to apply. Full training and support will be provided.
Role DetailsPermanent part-time position
2 days per week
Approximately 16–18 hours per week. Flexibility can be provided, E.G School holidays.
Hours may vary depending on the day, but will be between 7:00am and 5:00pm
Based in Gore, with travel as required around Southland.
Key Responsibilities
Administering workplace vaccinations (e.g. influenza, hepatitis, tetanus – training provided if required)
Conducting health monitoring and screening, including: Pre-employment , annual and exit medicals
Drug and alcohol testing (training provided)Audiometry and spirometry (training provided)
Providing occupational health education and advice
Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and records
Supporting workplace health and wellbeing initiatives
Liaising professionally with employers, employees, and other health providers
About You-
Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with a current NZ practising certificate
Must be eligible to work in New Zealand
Interest in occupational health (experience preferred but not essential)
New graduates welcome to apply
Strong communication and organisational skills
Professional, reliable, and able to work independently once trained
