About the Role:

The Store person will receive, store, pick, pack, and dispatch goods, manage inventory, and maintain warehouse organization. Occasionally, be willing to work as part of the delivery team dropping off products ranging from doors, stairs and wardrobes while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.

To succeed in this role, you need a strong combination of organisational skills, attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and good communication skills. The ability to work efficiently and reliably within a team is also crucial.

Storeperson Requirements:
  • Attention to Detail and Accuracy: This is paramount for accurately verifying incoming shipments against orders, maintaining meticulous inventory records (stock takes), and ensuring the correct items are picked for production.
  • Organisational and Time Management Skills: Success requires the ability to prioritise tasks, manage time well, and maintain a tidy, efficient warehouse space for productivity.
  • Reliability and Strong Work Ethic: A positive, "can-do" attitude, who can work independently when necessary, and take responsibility for their tasks.
  • Communication and Teamwork: The ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment is highly valued.
  • Physical Fitness and Stamina: The role often involves manual handling, lifting heavy items (up to 20-25kg is common), and being on your feet for long periods. Good physical fitness is necessary to perform duties safely and efficiently.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in basic computer skills and the ability to use inventory management software is required for updating logs, tracking stock, and processing orders.
Essential Qualifications and Training
  • Full NZ Driver’s License: Class 1 is required
  • Forklift Licence: A current OSH forklift license with an 'F' endorsement is essential.
  • Health and Safety Knowledge: A strong commitment to health and safety protocols and procedures is vital to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Relevant Experience: Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, logistics, or similar storeperson role is advantageous.
