Kitchen Designer - Blenheim

At Cantwell Joinery, we make Joinery, Kitchen Joinery, Aluminum Joinery, all kinds of Joinery - and we’re looking for a skilled Kitchen Designer to join our team for maternity cover. This is part-time (32 hrs/week, 9–12 months) with flexible hours, ideally starting 8:30?am.

Depending on our work loads, this could turn into a permanent position

Once a project is confirmed, you’ll step back but still keep an eye on it to ensure it stays on track.

What you’ll do:

• Work with clients to understand their needs, guide choices, and design beautiful, functional kitchens
• Produce layouts, cabinetry specs, and 3D renders using Cabinet Vision
• Produce quotes and budget manage Concept development process to meet clients needs and wants vs budget
• Visit sites and measure for accurate design

What you bring:

• Mid to senior experience in kitchen or joinery design, this is not a position where design training is available.
• Confidence meeting clients onsite
• Proficiency in Cabinet Vision (if not, Training can be provided)
• Energy, professionalism, and a focus on getting results
• A practical, hands-on approach and eye for detail

Pay: $28–30/hr (negotiable, depending on experience)
