Christchurch - Contract Carpenter/Builder
Harris Builders Ltd is a building company that specialises in residential renovation work. We are looking for experienced and reliable contract carpenters/builders to assist our team with a variety of upcoming projects throughout Christchurch, starting as soon as possible.
You’d be responsible for running small projects (bathroom, kitchen renovations, decking projects etc) by yourself so you must be confident in your ability and be able to work without direction. You will also work alongside the owner and other subcontractors on larger scale projects.
Ideally, the preferred candidate is someone who:- has a relevant carpentry qualification
- has their own hand tools and powertools
- can work from a scope of works to meet allocated hours
- has a full driver’s licence and own transport
- is hard working, punctual, respectful and reliable
- can work quickly, with excellent finishing skills
- is self-motivated, with a friendly and professional manner
- has proven work experience and references
- is physically fit
- can work as part of a team, as well as unsupervised
- has excellent communication skills
