Truck driver

We need someone who is willing to commit to our company and is prepared to take responsibility.

We as a business need to meet our health and safety obligations at all levels, including engaging staff and managing risks.

• Ability to operate company vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Drive Trucks and trailers applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations, to transport and deliver equipment or materials, over varying distances.
• Complete a daily truck logbook and submit reports of mileage and retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations and Break Periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Maneuverer trucks into loading and unloading positions.
• Maintain a current clean Driver's License while driving a company vehicle.
• The individual will be expected to have a standard of fitness sufficient to enable him to carry out all of the above duties.
• Report serious mechanical problems to the manager.
• Taking full responsibility of unit while on duty
• Responsible for cleaning the Truck.

• To be successful you must have at least 1 year of experience in a driving role

Valid and clean Driver License Class 5

ü Confident driving and reversing in tight sites

ü Manual gear box knowledge.

ü Must be physical fit

ü Knowledge of emergency procedures and how to handle hazard conditions.

ü A sound understanding of Health and Safety along with the logbook requirements.

ü You should carry out routine checks of your truck.

ü Able to work on rotation shift- day and night (24 x 7)

ü A positive attitude and a great work ethic

ü Clean Character Background

Salary can be negotiated as per your proven experience level; it will range from $28 per hour to $32 per hour.
