Class 5 Truck Driver

Wellington Earthworks & Drainage is seeking a skilled and reliable Class 5 Truck Driver to join our team. This is a varied role involving both tip trailer work and logging cartage, supporting our earthworks and separate logging operations.

We are a well-established company with over 45 years of combined experience in residential, commercial, and civil contracting. Based in Wellington, we offer a wide range of services including earthworks, drainage, roading, and general contracting.

• Operating Class 5 trucks for both logging and tip trailer operations
• Transporting logs and earthmoving materials safely and efficiently
• Assisting with loading/unloading and maintaining compliance with transport regulations
• Working closely with site teams across civil and logging projects

• A valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Experience carting logs and/or tip trailer work (preferred)
• A strong work ethic and commitment to safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Training can be provided for logging operations for the right candidate
• Flexibility with hours – work hours may vary between 40 to 60 hours per week, with early morning starts likely for logging operations
